The Creators & Makers
We created this video with Jorre van Ast, designer of the HAT table, in which he explains the need for flexible workspaces, the design concept, ideas and the table's intelligence, which is in its legs, housing both a motor and mechanism responsible for altering its height.

HAT | Height Adjustable Table
In contrast with others in its category, the table's design allows it to be used in multiple ways. It could be a meeting table. Equally, it could serve as a workplace or team table. It doesn't look like a typical height-adjustable table, so it could even take place as a dining table.

The table's intelligence is in its legs, which house a motor and the mechanism responsible for altering its height. To keep maximum flexibility, the HAT optionally comes with a battery-operated charger. Rather than rely on a bundle of wires, the table becomes "pluggable," easily moved to fit the changing needs of its surroundings.
With height ranging from 60 to 105 cm, the HAT is suitable for work, both standing or sitting, and different desks or wheelchairs fit easily underneath it. All components can be replaced or refurbished, extending the table’s life and minimizing environmental impact. As with every Arco table, its produced in the Netherlands, uses certified wood (FSC/PEFC/STIP) and water-based lacquers.
